Aims and Scope
The Journal of Spatial and Organizational Dynamics (JSOD) is an academic journal in the field of Social Sciences with emphasis on spatial and organizational dynamics and their effects on economy and society. It is published by the Research Centre for Spatial and Organizational Dynamics (CIEO), settled at the University of Algarve, Portugal.
The JSOD promotes research on topics such as land use change, information systems and technologies, geographic information systems and science, economics and public policy, planning and local development, tourism development, sociology, social psychology and social education, management and innovation. It is, therefore, a multidisciplinary journal.
It is published as a quarterly international review in open access, mainly composed of thematic special issues. Any interested scholar can submit a proposal for the edition of a special issue to the Editor-in-chief. The proposal should follow the guidelines provided in the Guide for Guest Editors. Each article must follow the publication rules as in the Author Guidelines and the Guest-editors, as well as the Editor-in-chief, are responsible for the full application of a double-blind review process. This method ensures that the author(s) and the reviewers remain anonymous in order to guarantee the fair and impartial review of the submitted papers.
The Editorial Board gathers world-renowned experts in different areas of Social Sciences.
This Journal is financed by National Funds provided by FCT- Foundation for Science and Technology through project UID/SOC/04020/2013.
